Dubai: A series of cultural activities are being held at Dragon Mart 2, to celebrate the UAE-China Week.

The three-day programme of events organised by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), started on Thursday and will continue till Saturday.

According to a Dubai Culture official, a number of traditional activities are being held in Dragon Mart 2 as part of ‘UAE China Week 2018’, to strengthen ties between China and the United Arab Emirates and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.

During the three-day event, which is takes place from 4pm to 10pm, Dubai Culture participates in a heritage pavilion and distributes heritage gifts to visitors. The event also includes traditional folk performances, such as Al Harbiya, the Liwa, and Al Ayyala, which attracted a large number of visitors.

In addition, Dubai Culture representatives demonstrated Arabic hospitality by presenting coffee and dates to visitors and explained the methods utilised in preparing Arabic coffee.
