5 reasons to visit Dubai’s Love Lake over the weekend

There’re many roads to a fun-filled outing for the whole family. This weekend, head on over to one of Dubai’s unusual offerings – a lake in the shape of intertwined hearts. Dubai’s Love Lake is perfect for barbeques and sunsets and so much more. Just don’t forget to take a selfie.

The Love Lake Dubai comprises of two huge interconnected heart shaped lakes. The Love Lake is so enormous that it can be viewed from space!

Opened in November 2018, the Love Lake Dubai gained popularity after an Instagram post by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. Here’re 5 reasons you must visit.

Go for the repeated heart pattern. Love Lake, situated in Al Qudra Oasis in Dubai, not only offers lake views of hearts but also plants and flowers that spell out the world love.

Make no mistake – this place may be popular for family trips, but it’s also one of Dubai’s most romantic offerings. Go for the lakes and stay for the orange sky at sunset.

There are no shops or restaurants near Love Lake as of now, but there is a food stop about 30 mins away. More on that later.

There's more – you could barbecue of go for an evening stroll or engage in some bird watching. There are shaded areas, fire pits and of course washrooms on site.

It’s close to the city. Located in Al Salam, it’s only about 10 minutes from the last lake in Al Qudra just off Umm Suqeim-Al Ain road. Keep your Google maps in hand and you won’t go wrong.

30 minutes away from the Love Lake, Al Qudra lake is a collection of lakes in the middle of the desert. Head to the oasis for bird watching; it’s got 175 species, some of which are on endangered lists.

If you don’t really believe in a DIY approach, don’t worry, you don’t need to fend for your food. Just drive to the Last Exit at Al Qudra. It’s near the entrance for a selection of food trucks and an array for menus.
