For the Holy Month of Ramadan, Italian brand Loro Piana is once again collaborating with Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej to launch a new Capsule Collection. The range will be an ode to the artist’s longstanding love for Arabic calligraphy, and his distinctive artwork will adorn the collection.

The line comprises kaftans, abayas, Shayla’s and modest pant suits, finished in linen and silk cady. This will be complemented by Loro Piana’s accessories and shoes, in fact, there are colours and leathers that have been exclusively crafted for the Middle East for this collection.

The Capsule Collection in linen features full-length slightly flared kaftan, a relaxed fit abaya, and a casual short-sleeved shirt and pant suit, all of which have the Arabic “Love” motif emblazoned upon them. The collection is available in four hues: Water Garden, Halite, Red Fish and Passion Fruit.

The silk cady, meanwhile, has leaner silhouettes and includes a belted kaftan and a long-sleeved lightweight version of the pantsuit in two colourways of Water Garden and Passion Fruit.

“I am deeply honoured to further cement the collaboration between myself and Loro Piana with a joint design project, perfectly balancing my artistic vision with its excellence for creation and touch. What attracted me to this collaboration, my first ever ready-to-wear collection, is the common features we share in terms of aesthetic, colours and the level and quality of the materials we use, which are the foundational ground for any artistic concept. Such elements are behind inspiring masterful art pieces that spark joy and delight in the hearts of people who acquire those pieces”, says Mattar Bin Lahej.“Our collaboration for Ramadan is built on a deeply-rooted, refined taste, and a deep respect for the culture of the Middle East, that created an unwavering excellence in quality, which resulted in two forms of mutual benefit: first, excellence as an international language and second, fine taste as an exclusive value to those who can create it perfectly; and Loro Piana speaks the language of perfection,” he concludes.

To complement the Ramadan Capsule Collection, Loro Piana has launched a selection of exclusive accessories for the Middle East. The Capsule Collection, along with limited edition accessories will be available in stores and across online platforms in the UAE and Qatar during Ramadan and Eid.
