Alber Elbaz, the Israeli fashion designer who was the creative director of Lanvin, and in 2019 launched the AZ Factory label is gone but not forgotten. The “Love Brings Love” tribute show, which was a celebration of his contributions to the fashion industry at large, saw several homage designs donated to AZ Factory. The late designer founded his AZ Factory brand with Richemont in 2019.

Elbaz always envisioned a day when the fashion industry would come together and celebrate creativity. His wish was fulfilled Tuesday night at the AZ Factory “Love Brings Love” tribute show, as part of Paris Fashion Week.

The event was spectacular with cannons blasting heart-shaped confetti following a runway display. The show saw participation from top designers and brands, whose creations were a homage to Alber,

Alber, who passed away last April at age 59 from COVID-19, remains one of the most respected names in the industry. .The event was attended by several notable personalities including France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, actor Demi Moore and François-Henri Pinault.

As an extension of the celebration of his life and work, next spring will see an exhibition that will display the recreation of the designs in his honour at Paris’ Palais Galliera fashion museum from March 5 to July 10.

“The Palais Galliera celebrates Alber Elbaz, one of its most dear collaborators. By reenacting this moving and unprecedented tribute by the fashion industry, we wish to honor his life and legacy and invite our visitors to engage in the designer’s joyful vision of fashion,” said the cultural institution’s director Miren Arzalluz in a statement.
