Abu Dhabi: India has revised the duration and number of entries for three types of visas.

Applicants intending to travel to India for the purpose of tourism, business and medical treatment have to notice the revised duration and number of entries on a visa, an Indian Embassy statement said here on Wednesday.

A tourist visa has a maximum duration of six months with multiple entries. A business visa is up to a maximum five years with multiple entries. The duration of a medical visa is up to one-year or the period of treatment, whichever is less, with multiple entries.

The embassy’s outsourced agent for visa and passport services The BLS will accept visa requests submitted by applicants based on the revised provisions. However, the Embassy and the Consulate reserves the right to make the final decision on duration and entries depending on applicant profiles, the statement said.
