Rapper Tekashi 69, popularly known as 6ix9ine, will launch Lyfe, a weekly ladies night (every Thursday) at Base nightclub in Dubai, on September 27. This will mark his first visit to the Middle East, where he joins DJs Tony Vegas and DJ AIK at the venue.

The controversial rapper, who hails from New York, rose to fame with his single Gummo. More recently, he collaborated with Nicki Minaj on the song Fefe.

6ix9ine is embroiled in an ongoing sexual misconduct case, after he pled guilty to using a child in a sexual performance in 2015. He awaits sentencing on October 2 and could face up to three years in prison, according to online magazine HipHopDX.

He has also been known for his social media ‘beef’ with fellow rappers.
