Back to her old self!
Kristine Hermosa throws tantrums and plays games with the press.
Well-known actress Kristine Hermosa is back to her old self. Just when the people she works for thought the actress had changed for the better, an incident at a recent press conference, made them think again.
According to a production staff member, assigned to assist Kristine, Hermosa arrived late for the press conference of her new TV series. So when the assistant suggested that she answer queries about the show to the media, she refused.
She said, " What if I don't want to be interviewed?" The attitude didn't go down well with the event staff present as the stars are mandated by protocol from their respective studios to give interviews during network-arranged press conferences.
Love-hate relationship
Apparently, Kristine has had a love-hate relationship with many of the network's production crew because of her starry tantrums. Maybe that explains why Hermosa is getting less work lately.
On her way out
We've heard this rumour earlier and brushed it aside but last week the rumour again picked up momentum.
Mel Tiangco, one of the reasons for GMA's resurgence, is about to lose her top-rating programme. But the hard-working and multi-award winning presenter confirmed reports, at a recent fundraiser for Kapuso Foundation, that she hoped her programme won't be axed. This is a real surprise considering how
Magpakailanman (Forevermore) has performed so well in the ratings and has beaten the more established Maalala Mo Kaya many times when they were competing head-on.
The new rumour is that the show will run only till the end of the month. Strangely enough, the network's PR staff are said to be spreading the rumour about the demise of one of their shows.
So we ask, why kill the goose that lays the golden egg?
Danita sings a different tune
Singer Danita Paner, adopted daughter of semi-retired actress Daisy Romualdez, came out on national TV saying her life with her adoptive family has been miserable and replete with verbal and physical abuse.
The shocking revelation prompted a rebuttal from mum Daisy, also on national TV, saying her daughter has been maliciously influenced by her boyfriend who is a member of a struggling band called Calla Lily.
Both Daisy and Danita minced no words in their accusations and counter allegations, and the public is
apparently divided in its sympathy. But one thing is for certain about this recent controversy — Danita, who is trying to make a name for herself in show business, is no longer a nameless, struggling singer. As they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
