At least at the Irish Village where about 3,500 revellers are expected to be part of The One Big Party to mark St Patrick's Day on March 17.
The biggest day in the Irish social calendar is celebrated in Dubai with great gusto and the Irish Village is one of the most popular venues for the celebrators who comprise various nationalities and ethnicities.
Elise Sarkis-Talj, PR & Marketing Manager at The Aviation Club, said: “There is no entry fee. Drinks are charged individually. As for the meal, we offer two buffets: One for brunch and another for dinner. Each is priced at Dh70 per person.
“There will definitely be Irish food. We have an Irish chef who is preparing a bountiful Irish buffet.''
A traditional dinner is washed down with stout such as Guinness. Elise said, “We are flying in six well-known Irish rock bands including the likes of Banackburn, Declan, The Maplejacks, Stompers and DJ Marky Mark.
“In addition, there will be a supervised children's play area with toys, bouncy castle, pony rides, face paintings and other activities.''
