She has just been named as one of Tatler’s most eligible women.

The annual Little Black Book list has urged suitors to catch Pippa Middleton while they can because she is thinking of moving to New York.

How fitting, then, that the Duchess of Cambridge’s little sister has been on dinner dates with two handsome beaus, both of them bankers, in the space of a week.

On a recent night the 29-year-old was seen leaving the new London private members club LouLou with dashing Tom Kingston, an ex-boyfriend of Prince William’s former squeeze Natalie Hicks-Loebbecke.

Pippa has been seen with the rugged Bristol graduate before — the pair were spotted laughing and giggling together in the stands at the ATP Tennis finals at the O2 Arena last November.

Kingston, 34, is described as “utterly charming, polite and very popular with the ladies ... he is just the kind of guy you would want to introduce to your mother”.

Which can only be good news for Pippa’s famously protective mother Carole.

He is also something of a daredevil — his former job was to procure the release of hostages in Iraq — although he has since worked for Schroders private bank.

Certainly Pippa seemed pleased with his company, although it is believed that the pair left the club owned by Robin Birley — where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have also recently dined — in separate cars.

Last week Pippa was pictured on another date, this time with another high-flying banker, James Matthews, the brother of Spencer Matthews, who appears on the Channel 4 reality TV programme Made In Chelsea.

The pair are said to have enjoyed several intimate dinners of late, including at the Queen's Club tennis centre in West London and the fashionable Hakkasan restaurant in Mayfair.

Eton-educated Matthews is a 37-year-old investment banker and is chief executive of Eden Rock Capital Management Group, which he set up more than ten years ago.

Pippa, who last week launched her first book, party planning guide Celebrate, split up last year with her long-term boyfriend Alex Loudon.

She had dated the former professional cricketer turned business analyst, who hails from a wealthy and well-connected Home Counties family, for three years and was said to be smitten.

Friends have said she was devastated after Loudon ended the romance, saying he hated the “circus” last year’s royal wedding had created around her.

Now sources say the young socialite is ready to test the dating waters again — and she seems to be doing that with enthusiasm.

In an unrelated development, Scotland Yard has started an investigation after an officer guarding the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge accidentally fired a gun outside their house.

It happened on Wednesday last week when the plain-clothes policeman was in a car at the couple’s home on Anglesey, North Wales. Prince William was at work as a search and rescue pilot at RAF Valley but Kate was at home.

The bullet went into the floor of the car and no one was injured, but the officer has been routinely removed from firearm duties pending the outcome of the inquiry.
