Festival fever in Reading and Leeds
Despite a flurry of mishaps - including fake-tickets scams and a major fire outbreak - this weekend's Reading and Leeds festival in the UK hit the ground running.
The sun came out for revellers and music stars, including Dizzee Rascal, Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers, The Enemy, The Raconteurs, MGMT, The Ting Tings, Rage Against the Machine, The Killers and Metallica.
Performers caught the mood of the audience, with rapper Dizzee Rascal stripping to the waist after being flashed by a female fan.
Rage Against The Machine, on the other hand, were in the mood for a dress up - donning Guantanamo Bay-style prison overalls in protest against the George Bush government.
It girl, Alexa Chung was among the 80,000 music fans to visit both festival sites over the weekend.
Tickets for the festival sold out in less than two hours after going on sale earlier this year.
