Dubai Jazz Festival from February 18

Some of the world's leading jazz talents will turn up for this year's Dubai Jazz Festival. Headlined by British singer James Blunt and American soul singer John Legend, the 10-day festival, beginning on February 18 at Dubai Media City, features more than 30 acts.


The first seven nights at the Network Jazz Garden at Dubai Media City, will be free on a first-come basis. All you need to do is register online at www.dubaijazzfest.com and ensure you are on the list of invitees. The last three nights will be paid events and will give music lovers the opportunity to see jazz giants such as Spyro Gyra, Jonathan Butler, Mike Stern and David Koz.
The other major attractions include acid jazz band Incognito, pianist-singer Peter Cincotti, singer-songwriter Sarah Mitchell, jazz-soul singer Kelly Dickson, singer-guitarist Kaz Simmons and singer Liz Wright. Tickets are on sale at Virgin Megastores, Hallmark and Spinneys outlets.
