Cochin University of Science and Technology Awarded IIT Status

Kerala's leading engineering university, the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), has been awarded the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) status by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), India.

Kerala's leading engineering university, the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), has been awarded the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) status by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), India.

IIT are the top engineering institutes in India, renowned as centres of excellence in science and technology.

Graduates of IIT are among the most successful and highly regarded professionals in their chosen career all over the world. Admission to IIT is extremely competitive.

MHRD has granted funds to CUSAT for upgrading the quality of their academic programme. Special focus will be given on research projects in technology.

Students in the region can now write the Combined Admission Test (CAT) of CUSAT at the American College of Dubai in Garhoud.

The examination is scheduled for May 13 and 14. Applications for the examination must be completed and submitted prior to March 29.
