Becker aced by spectacular Yas Marina circuit
Tennis ace's passion for sport has never really restricted him to the confines of a tennis court.
Abu Dhabi: Boris Becker's passion for sport has never really restricted him to the confines of a tennis court, which is why it was hardly a surprise to see him at the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
"I'm a sports guy," the three times Wimbledon champion told XPRESS, adding: "I love football, golf, tennis and Formula One."
Like most people, Becker also admitted to being bowled over by the beauty of the newly laid out Yas Marina circuit. "I was very impressed with the racetrack. I've been to many and this is the most spectacular in my mind.
"I didn't know what to expect coming to the desert. And they said many stories about it, but everything is true," said Becker, whose affiliation to Mercedes was making it a touch difficult for him to catch up with his good friend and fellow illustrious German Michael Schumacher.
"He's with Ferrari and I'm with Mercedes and as you know Ferrari doesn't like Mercedes," joked Becker.
