With over two decades of experience at the intersection of technology and business, the journey for Prasanna Rajendran, Vice President – EMEA, Kissflow  is one rooted in transformation—both personal and organizational.

Starting out as a developer in 2000, his path has traversed delivery, product management, and enterprise solutions, evolving into a strategic role that shapes the future of digital transformation across the EMEA region. At the heart of his professional narrative is a consistent passion for aligning technology with business outcomes—where innovation isn't just aspirational, but actionable.

“I’ve always gravitated toward roles where business and technology intersect—where strategy delivers real, measurable outcomes,” he says. This mindset found its perfect match in Kissflow nearly 20 years ago, when he was drawn in by the company’s audacious vision: to democratize business application development. “Kissflow believes that those closest to the problem are best equipped to solve it,” he explains. “Business users know exactly what they need, but often lack the technical skills to build solutions. Kissflow bridges that gap.”

The company’s no-code and low-code platform empowers non-technical users to build custom applications intuitively, dramatically reducing development time and cost. This approach not only accelerates innovation but also fosters ownership and collaboration across departments. “The clarity of that vision, the simplicity of the platform, and the tangible impact we’re making across industries continue to make this journey both meaningful and exciting,” he reflects.

Driving Change in the EMEA Region

Now at the helm of Sales & Strategy in the EMEA region, he’s tasked with navigating a landscape rich in diversity—and possibility. “Each market has its own rhythm, challenges, and opportunities,” he says. The UAE, in particular, is a standout. With its pro-innovation government policies and global business aspirations, the country is a ripe ground for digital acceleration. “Leading go-to-market strategy here means crafting tailored approaches that align with local business needs and digital maturity levels.”

The impact is tangible. Medium to large enterprises across the region are using Kissflow to reimagine their operations, with transformation rooted in speed, autonomy, and flexibility. Whether it's HR teams building leave management apps or insurers digitizing claims workflows, Kissflow empowers organisations to innovate on their own terms—while giving IT full oversight and control.

Bridging the Gap Between Business and IT

In a digital-first world, the pressure on businesses to do more with less is immense. Legacy development cycles can’t keep pace, often leaving business users either waiting or resorting to risky, unsanctioned workarounds. “That’s where Kissflow truly shines,” he says. By offering an AI-powered application development platform, Kissflow helps eliminate bottlenecks, streamline collaboration, and reduce IT backlogs.

Take the case of Quest Nutra Pharma, a UAE-based pharmaceutical manufacturer with operations across the UK and EU. “They were struggling with complex, paper-based processes in quality management, HR, and engineering,” he recalls. With Kissflow, they digitised over 30 workflows—from market compliance to corrective and preventive actions. The results? Reduced manual errors, improved operational accuracy, and greater agility. Perhaps most strikingly, non-IT staff were able to design and launch workflows themselves, enhancing both transparency and accountability.

Looking Ahead: Opportunities in EMEA

While the feature stops short of explicitly detailing the biggest opportunities in EMEA, it’s clear from the conversation that localised innovation, rapid digitisation, and the empowerment of business users are key drivers. Regions like the UAE—with their innovation-friendly ecosystems—are primed to leapfrog traditional development cycles by embracing agile, low-code platforms.

A Word of Advice: Start Where You Are

For businesses considering or accelerating their digital transformation journey, his advice is simple yet powerful: embrace the democratisation of application development. With the demand for apps far outpacing IT’s capacity, modern low-code platforms allow subject matter experts to solve problems faster and more effectively.

“This approach doesn’t just unburden IT,” he says. “It ensures the solutions are exactly what the business needs—because they’re built by the people who know the processes best.” IT departments, of course, still maintain governance, ensuring compliance and security remain intact.

By shifting the power to innovate into the hands of business users—while maintaining strategic oversight—Kissflow is enabling a new kind of enterprise: faster, leaner, and infinitely more responsive.
