The villa is chic, its elegance understated and even as it overlooks an 18-hole championship golf course, it boasts a cool neutral colour palette that has a timeless appeal that can be enhanced with seasonal changes.
Styled by Al Huzaifa Furniture’s design studio, the villa was given a makeover. The cornerstone of the redesign was to ensure it reflected the personality and style of its owners. Marble flooring and cool neutrals were selected to create an energised zen-like ambience which perfectly complement the floor-to-ceiling windows and natural daylight.
Function and form came together seamlessly with streamlined furniture and detailing, in the open-plan layout allowing for freedom of movement, light, and energy. The wall panels had delicate accents of gold and bronze while furniture, and accessories lend an air of discreet opulence to the interiors. Texture, print, and patterns are tastefully interwoven into the design scheme, working with shades of beige, taupe, grey, and white. Subtle influences of postmodern Art Deco are visible in the lighting, furniture, and sculptures, which are in contrast to the use of stone, wood, glass, and leather.
“Our vision was to create an environment that inspires,” says Lama Al Awa, Head Designer of Al Huzaifa’s design studio. “It is all about customising a look with personality and attitude.” The 8,565 sqft studio on Wasl Road, works with clients to co-create a personalised space complete with custom woodwork, material selection, bespoke furniture, murals, and accessories.
