Cinema Akil will be hosting the Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour as the prestigious film festival arrives in the Middle East for the first time. Starting September 15th, Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour will screen a total of 7 films, each with a promise to take cinema lovers on a journey of rediscovery as it dives into different time periods of Italian cinema and unravels new horizons in world cinema.

Singers Srinivas-Saranya duo to perform on Sept 23
Award-winning playback singer and composer Srinivas and daughter Sharanya will be performing live on Saturday, 23rd September at Jafza One Convention Centre Auditorium in Jebel Ali.
Part of the “Rhythm of Life” concert series this one with Srinivas and Sharanya promises to be a treat with a retro Bollywood tribute featuring all time hits of Kishore Kumar and legendary composer R. D. Burman.
The duo will also pepper the concert with some of their own well-known film songs from Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.
The evening promises to be a rare experience with an ensemble of seasoned musicians including harmonium and keyboard player Sachin Madhav Jambhekar, who has over the last 35 years played for the likes of Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Ghulam Ali and Pankaj Udhas.
