Dubai: Sean Murphy, the United States Charge d’Affaires to the UAE, and Bob Clark, the USA Pavilion’s Commissioner General, welcomed the first guests to the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai today.

The USA Pavilion’s theme ‘Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of the Future’ celebrates the American people, ideas and contributions that have changed and improved lives in the US and around the world.

A series of eight exhibits in the USA Pavilion takes visitors on a journey through the past, present and future of US innovation and features iconic American inventions, individuals and companies.

Throughout the pavilion, visitors will meet ‘Faces of America’, the 75 USA Pavilion Youth Ambassadors — the multilingual pavilion guides — who represent the communities, cultures and diversity of the US.

From song and dance to food and sports, more than 250 American Cultural Performers will engage pavilion visitors.

Acts during the first few months of Expo 2020 Dubai include Step Afrika!, the Harlem Globetrotters, AXIS Dance and Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre. American speakers will participate in Expo-organised programming focused on the ten theme weeks, as well as pavilion programmes.

The USA Pavilion appreciates the contributions of American companies who generously supported the USA Pavilion through in-kind contributions and monetary donations: PepsiCo, Citi, Honeywell, Xylem, Children’s National Hospital Foundation, Kohler, Ungerboeck, Budweiser, Herman Miller, Lobo & Listone, Marriott Bonvoy, Maui Jim, and Xerox.

The pavilion looks forward to showcasing American culture, values and technology to a global audience in Dubai and millions more through online engagement.
