Martin Nievera denied he ever asked for a talent fee for a fundraiser being staged this week at the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts Concert Hall in Washington for victims of typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines.

The Concert King scored an unnamed “agent” who quoted a price tag of $110,000 for his performance.

He was subsequently dropped from the line-up.

Nievera claimed he would never charge for a benefit concert, and said that the “agent” misrepresented him.

To his credit, he has joined a number of benefit concerts in Manila for the typhoon victims.
