As it celebrates its 20th anniversary, organisers of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) are planning a mega concert series featuring 20 of the biggest Arab stars.
Called the DSF Celebration Nights, the concert series, to held at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, will be the biggest of its kind in the region, said Laila Mohammad Suhail, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail (DFRE), part of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The next DSF is scheduled to run from January 1 to February 1, 2015.
The line-up of the concert series includes Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo, Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi, Egyptian pop superstar Amr Diab, Emirati heroine Ahlam, the internationally renowned Lebanese legend Nancy Ajram, one of the best-selling recording artists Elissa, also from Lebanon, the highly acclaimed Iraqi singer, Majid Mohandes.
The dates of the concerts will be announced at a later date. Next year’s theme for DSF is 20th Anniversary – A Journey of Celebrations.
