BINI will kick off their BINIverse World Tour in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena on May 18
Gwen Apuli and Jhoanna Robles of BINI marked a major personal achievement on Wednesday — both officially graduated from senior high school.
The two members of the Filipino P-pop powerhouse received their diplomas from the Japanese-Philippines Institute of Technologies, Training and Services Inc., completing the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand.
Aside from their diplomas, Gwen and Jhoanna were also recognized with special citations for their contributions to the Arts, Media, and Entertainment fields.
“They shine on stage and now they shine in a toga!” read a post from BINI’s official Facebook page.
“Kayo na talaga, queens of multitasking! Balancing school and everything else is not easy, but you did it with hard work and dedication. We're so proud of you!”
Reflecting on her journey, Gwen shared "We're very happy po and proud of ourselves, kasi iba po talaga 'yung pagod at sacrifice,". "Thank you Lord, natapos po namin.
("We're very happy and proud of ourselves, because the exhaustion and sacrifice were really something else,". "Thank you, Lord, we were able to finish.")
"Itong meron kami ngayon, hindi naman 'to forever," said Jhoanna. "So mahalaga na may Plan B kami, may pupuntahan kami, ano man ang mangyari sa career namin."
("What we have now isn’t forever," said Jhoanna. "So it’s important that we have a Plan B, somewhere to go no matter what happens to our careers.")
Both Jhoanna and Gwen took pride in their graduation, emphasizing that the milestone was meaningful not only for them but also for their families.
“It’s fulfilling for our parents, too,” they shared. “Graduating is something special—no one can ever take that away from you.”
This milestone comes ahead of a busy season for BINI. They’re gearing up for their first world tour, which kicks off May 18 in Dubai.
