Royal Ascot At Meydan

Just because you’re not in the UK doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the Brits’ best horse event. Head to Meydan and get into the sprit as you watch the Royal Ascot races live between 5pm and 8pm, from Wednesday to Saturday next weekend.

In true Royal Ascot style there’ll be quintessentially British food and drink on the menu, so expect to tuck into strawberries and cream, scones with jam, cucumber sandwiches and all whilst sipping on a long fruity cocktail.

The event means you don’t have to retire your flamboyant Dubai World Cup hat for summer, as ladies who wear their race-day finery will be treated to free bubbly.

Dubai Vocal Ensemble

If you like Glee, you’ll love the Dubai Vocal Ensemble, an immensely talented group that performs a mix of current pop songs, original compositions by local singer-songwriter Shero, ballads, traditional Filipino folk songs and popular choir songs. We’ve been watching their version of Jai Ho on YouTube on loop, it’s brilliant – the group’s cheer and spirit is completely infectious.
