Emily Ratajkowski has publicly criticised Blue Origin's recent all-female spaceflight, labeling it as "beyond parody" and expressing her disapproval of the mission's environmental impact and perceived performative feminism.

In a TikTok video, Ratajkowski questioned the mission's authenticity, stating, "That space mission this morning? That's end time sh*t. Like, this is beyond parody." She challenged the narrative of caring for Mother Earth while participating in a spaceflight funded by a company she accuses of contributing to environmental degradation. "You're going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that's single-handedly destroying the planet," she remarked, urging viewers to consider the resources expended for the brief 10-minute journey.

Ratajkowski's critique aligns with sentiments expressed by other celebrities. Olivia Wilde shared a meme of Katy Perry kissing the ground post-landing, captioned, "Billion dollars bought some good memes, I guess."

Similarly, Olivia Munn labeled the mission as "gluttonous," questioning its necessity amid global economic challenges.

In response to the backlash, mission participants defended their involvement. Gayle King emphasised the inspirational value of the flight for young women, stating, "Anybody that's criticising it doesn't really understand what is happening here." Lauren Sánchez invited critics to witness the dedication of Blue Origin's employees, highlighting their passion for the mission.
