Grace Springer, unsuspecting fan-turned-accidental-whistleblower, claims she made no cash
Dubai: Turns out going viral doesn’t always pay the bills.
The woman who accidentally outed Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his alleged HR sidekick Kristin Cabot during a Coldplay concert’s Kiss Cam says she hasn’t seen a dime from the now-notorious video.
“I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views,” confessed Grace Springer, the unsuspecting fan-turned-accidental-whistleblower, on ITV’s This Morning with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary. “It’s not monetized,” she added, as jaws dropped across the internet.
Grace didn’t set out to expose a corporate soap opera — she just wanted to see herself on the jumbotron.
“I love capturing moments,” she said. And boy, did she capture one.
“I didn’t think much of it at first,” she explained. “But with over 50,000 people around, everyone was going crazy — and once I watched the footage with friends later, I thought, ‘Yeah, that looks bad.’”
Despite the chaos she accidentally unleashed, Grace isn’t losing sleep over it.
“I definitely feel for Andy’s wife Megan, his family, everyone who’s hurting,” she said. “But let’s be real — if I hadn’t posted it, someone else would have.”
To The Sun, she was even more blunt: “A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but… play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
Mic. Dropped.
Still, she had a sliver of hope for the scorched-earth aftermath: “Maybe this video was a blessing in disguise. I hope their partners heal and find the happiness they actually deserve.”
The moment that blew up TikTok? Byron and Cabot were shown on the kiss cam — and instead of leaning in, they leapt apart like they’d been caught stealing snacks from a toddler.
Even Coldplay’s Chris Martin couldn’t ignore the awkwardness, telling the crowd:
“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” Then, with perfect British guilt, added: “Hope we didn’t do something wrong.”
Oh honey… you just started everything.
Once the internet put its detective hat on, identities unraveled faster than a cheap ball of yarn. Byron — married to Megan Kerrigan Byron — went radio silent as his wife deleted her Facebook. Kristin? She’s reportedly hitched to Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum.
The fallout was swift: Astronomer launched an internal investigation and benched both execs.
This weekend? The final blow: Andy Byron officially resigned as CEO.
In a damage-control statement, Astronomer declared:
“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability — and recently, that standard was not met.”
Translation: Don’t flirt on the jumbotron, folks.
