Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi opening delayed

Abu Dhabi: The long-awaited opening of the Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi, which was scheduled to take place by the end of this year, has been pushed back until late 2016.

Officials from the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) told the media that construction work is still required on the structure which witnessed the placement of the final piece of outer cladding on its dome last month.

The Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi had hosted several exhibitions showcasing some of the artworks that will be displayed at the iconic art facility.
