Dubai/Sharjah: A series of festive events have been attracting large numbers of UAE residents over the first two holidays of Eid Al Adha.

From fireworks displays to children’s activities and comedy gigs, the second day of the ‘Eid in Dubai-Eid Al Adha’ celebrations brought together residents and tourists alike.

A fabulous line-up of events and activities is in store on Sunday too, including mesmerising fireworks shows, concerts by Arab musical sensations, as well as a host of mall events.

Details of this year’s calendar of events for Eid Al Adha are available on www.visitdubai.com.

In Sharjah too, people have been out in full force to enjoy the long weekend.

Hundreds of visitors have been making a beeline to one of Sharjah’s most popular attractions, Al Majaz Waterfront, which has not disappointed with a series of Eid Al Adha entertainment events.

The waterfront witnessed a packed house on the first day of Eid on Friday. From 5:30pm to 9:30pm, residents were seen making the most of their time with friends and family, being treated to acrobatic shows, fire dances and balancing acts. Children followed the roaming parade who lit up the evening with their LED accentuated costumes.

The waterfront venue, flanked by the lagoon on one side and modern architecture on the other, will keep up the festive atmosphere until Sunday. Visitors can expect circus acts, Eid specialties across a variety of international restaurants, and other attractions.
