Dubai: For the ninth year, organisers of a sweeping survey of Arab youth across the region will reveal their findings on Wednesday in Dubai.
The top 10 findings of Arab Youth Survey 2017 by Asda’a Burson-Marsteller will be presented in concert with a panel of experts who will discuss the survey’s trending topics.
The survey is the largest effort of its kind in the Middle East.
Sunil John, founder and CEO of Asda’a Burson-Marsteller, and Curtis Freet, CEO of PSB Research, the international polling firm that conducted the survey, will roll out the latest findings.
In a statement on Tuesday, John said: “The findings of the ninth edition of our annual Arab Youth Survey reveal important insights on the hopes and aspirations of the region’s youth — the largest demographic that forms nearly 60 per cent of the total population. We have several significant findings this year, which underline the shifting perceptions of Arab youth regarding the region and its international allies, as well as their views on contemporary international politics.”
John suggested that over time, “the survey’s findings have served as a true barometer of what the young people feel about the region. Their views have mirrored the key events that have shaped the social and political milieu of the Middle East and North Africa region. In a region where informed data is hard to come by, our investment in this comprehensive survey has benefited our clients — in government and the private sector — in decision-making and policy creation. It also drives our focus on evidence-based communications for our clients. This year’s top 10 findings will further contribute to informed debate and tangible action to secure the huge demographic dividend of the Arab youth.”
