Ailing French singer Charles Aznavour cancels concerts

Veteran French singer Charles Aznavour has postponed two concerts he was scheduled to give in Amsterdam due to health problems.

Concert organiser Mojo said on Monday that the 91-year-old Aznavour’s concert slated for Sunday night was called off because he was suffering from an acute stomach and intestinal infection.

Mojo says in a statement on its website that a second concert in the Dutch capital, scheduled for December 9, has also been postponed to allow the singer time to fully recover.

Both concerts have been rescheduled for late January.
