As we all know, the 2020 Geneva Motor Show has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak and that has thrown a spanner in the works for several carmakers who were heading to Switzerland to reveal their latest models. One of the most anticipated debuts was the new 2020 911 Turbo – but Porsche will still make sure it breaks cover as originally planned via a livestream event.

The presentation for the 911 range-topper - which will feature "unprecedented power, driving dynamics and comfort" - will be screened in English and Chinese and take place on March 3. It will be hosted by former Formula 1 driver and Porsche brand ambassador Mark Webber.

The German carmaker has also revealed the first official teaser image of the newbie (even though the car has been leaked in all its glory…) which shows off its wider fenders, fixed rear wing and full-width LED light bar.

We expect it to pack a 3.8-litre flat-six mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sending around 600 horses (and around 640 in the Turbo S) to all four wheels. The outgoing Turbo S develops 580 horses.
