    Ever since Atari released the Gran Trak 10, the first racing game, in 1974, car games have become increasingly popular over the subsequent decades. From chasing down bad guys to racing around world famous race tracks, these games have been keeping thousands entertained. A recent study, done by carwow, analysed thousands of video games with the help of online resource the Internet Game Cars Database, to find out the most common cars used in video games.     10: Ferrari F50 At number 10 is the 1995 Ferrari F50, which features in 83 video games. The classic Italian two-seater sportscar came out in 1995, created in collaboration with racing partners Dallara and Michelotto to take part in GT1-class racing. Only 349 were made.     9: Ferrari F40 The legendary F40 is Ferrari’s second car in the top ten. The Type F120 F40 features in 84 video games. This mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive supercar is the last model approved by founder Enzo Ferrari.     8: Ford E-Series Ambulance At 8th position is an ambulance! Well, it needn’t be a surprise as high voltage action games will surely entail casualties, and an ambulance will have to be called in at some point.     7: Toyota Hilux As you saw with the number 8, not all vehicles on the list are exciting supercars or sportscars. Next is a commercial pickup truck, the Toyota Hilux. With its time-tested ability to traverse varied terrain including sand, snow and rock, it’s no surprise that the Hilux features in 88 video games, from first-person shooters to racing types.     6: Toyota Supra MK.IV With 91 appearances, Toyota’s most popular model in video games is the Supra MK. IV. This iconic Japanese sportscar is rightly considered one of the best sportscars of all time, and finds pride of place in most of the major racing games, from Hot Wheels and Need for Speed to Tokyo Xtreme Racer and Gran Turismo.     5: 2002 Ferrari Enzo The most popular of the three Ferraris to find their place among the top ten is the Enzo. The 2002 supercar has been featured in 119 games. The 12-cylinder mid-engine borrowed heavily from Formula One technology and finds itself in racing games such as Need for Speed, Forza Motorsport, Burnout Revenge, Ridge Racer, and Gran Turismo.     4: Chevrolet Step Van Coming in at fourth place is another Chevrolet model, the Chevrolet Step Van. Put to use as delivery vans, S.W.A.T vans, ambulances and fire services, the Chevy has been featured in 156 games including action-adventure games such as Grand Theft Auto, Twisted Metal, The Last of Us, and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.
