Original Fiat 500 lives again thanks to awesome Lego kit!

Thanks to the imagination of The Lego Group, hundreds of icons of the automotive world have been recreated using the company's famous bricks. It is now the turn of the Fiat 500 to get its own Lego set.

The 500 joined the Mini Cooper and Volkswagen Beetle amongst the iconic European cars that etched their mark in automotive history. Introduced in 1957, the 500 quickly became one of the most iconic cars Italy has ever produced.

All three cars share two traits – diminutive size and styling. The Fiat 500 Lego Creator Expert model kit is of course smaller than the actual car; it measures 4 inches high, 9 inches long, and 4 inches wide, and is designed to be assembled by ages 16 and up.

And opening doors and tailgate.

In fact, opening the rear hood reveals the car's tiny two-cylinder engine complete with hoses and other important components.

Under the front hood reveals a spare tyre!

Fitting in with the Cinquecento's Italian heritage, the Lego set includes a folding easel with a paintbrush, palette, and small painting of the car in front of the famous Colosseum in Rome.

This Lego kit would be a relaxing me time for teenagers and adults alike, with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese!
