Dubai: While firefighters are known for their expertise in putting out flames and rescuing people from buildings, every now and then, their skills are also put to test in everyday situations.
Photos of Dubai’s Civil Defence have been circulating on social media after a stranded motorist was rescued in Al Qusais.
According to Civil Defence, the patrol officers were on their way to carry out an inspection last Saturday when they spotted the young man on the side of the road in Al Qusais 3.
The officers were able to fix the car, which was experiencing technical problems.
“The firemen were on their way to carry out a routine inspection when they saw a vehicle parked in a sandy patch. The officers intervened and helped the young man fix his car, which is part of the important role that firefighters play in society.”
