Five things you need to know about Paris Hilton’s wedding

Socialite Paris Hilton, following six previous engagements, has finally tied the knot with venture capitalist Carter Reum at a glamorous ceremony recently. Here are five things you need to know about one of the world’s most well-known names.

The wedding gown: As one of the world’s best known style icons, Paris’s wedding gown was as resplendent as they come. The custom Oscar De La Renta featured thread work pressed flower ballgown and sheer veil. The wedding gown was hand-crafted and hand-embroidered by eight modistes over 1,400 hours. In fact, Paris is said to have worn as many as 10 unique dresses over the course of the ceremony. Of course, there was plenty of jewellery and adornments to go along. Talk about exclusivity!

The man: Paris married Carter Reum after two short years of dating. She is said to have found the “man of her dreams” and is looking to have a family soon. Carter Reum, American author, entrepreneur and venture capitalist, is expectedly well heeled, however, his wealth pales in comparison to Paris’s. That said, the wedding ring is reported to be between $1.5 and $3 million and was designed by Jean Dousset, Louis Cartier’s great-grandson. As they say – love is all you need.

The venue: Sticking to tradition, and in a nod to her family, the glamorous wedding ceremony which lasted over three days was held in and around Paris’s late grandfather Barron Hilton’s Bel-Air estate. The word is that the invitations to the exclusive wedding were designed to evoke Tiffany & Co. jewellery boxes. Furthermore, there were scant details on the invitation for privacy reasons. Even the exact wedding location was not divulged.

There’s a TV show coming: As an astute business person, Paris Hilton inked a deal with American broadcaster Peacock for a show based on her big day. The series Paris in Love will capture details of the preparations leading up to the wedding day and will be available for all to see. Eventually.

The guest list: As you’d expect, the guest list at the wedding was star studded. In attendance were several celebrities including New York real estate millionaire and TV show Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran, Kim Kardashian, American Horror Story star Emma Roberts, singers Bebe Rexha and Meghan Trainor, Kate Beckinsale, Nicole Richie and more.
