Milan Fashion Week on Thursday saw fashion heavyweight Prada provide a glimpse into what it called "the history of women". The Italian fashion house showcased delicate dresses complemented by coats for its fall/winter collection. Designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons the line is noticeably pared down this year.

Models sported elegant white tops contrasted with stunning double-tone skirts. Adding another layer of sophistication were tailored coats with padded shoulder to cut a striking silhouette. While the coats were generally plain, some did feature chains and feathers.

"This collection is about the history of women, the history of people, not the history of fashion," said Miuccia Prada.

According to an Instagram post on Milan Fashion Week’s page, “An ideology of Prada - A fascination with and reflection of humanity is a fundamental principle of Prada. The Fall/Winter 2022 collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons is a commemoration of life and living - of the occasion of the everyday, affording importance to each moment.”

Additionally, iconic designer Giorgio Armani made a comeback in in-person format to present the latest Emporio Armani collection. The designer stuck with a monochromatic look with all model, both male and female, sporting grey clothes.

Friday will see legendary names such as Tod’s, Versace, Gucci and Philipp Plein showcase their latest collections at Milan Fashion Week.
