Dubai: Panasonic on Sunday launched its wellness division in the Middle East.

The company also commercially launched the new Joba 'The Core Trainer', a machine that simulates horse-riding to increase muscle strength around the waist and thighs, improve posture, boost glucose consumption, and increase the rate of basal metabolism.

The machine has been developed by Japanese specialists. The fifth generation model resembles a mechanical saddle. The company claims that the machine's "eight-shaped" twist-and-sway movement, helps strengthen muscles that are not used often.

The company claims the unique therapy can prevent lower back pain and improve sense of balance.

Makoto Maijima, managing director, Panasonic Electric Works Sales Middle East, said, "The UAE is one of the few countries that mirrors the growth of the fitness industry across the world and Joba is an ideal addition to its portfolio. Due to the dramatic growth in demand worldwide, it has been a strategic move to introduce this machine in the UAE."
