Goltens and Mas Paints ready for battle

Sharjah: A new chapter in league finals' history begins today as team Goltens Dubai & team Mas Paints unwrap their championship series for the 3rd FBC-Mama Sita's Cup Summer Basketball Tournament at Al Shaab Sports Club in Sharjah.

Goltens Dubai and Mas Paints brace themselves for the mother of all battles as the two teams begin 'Act One' of their best-of-three titular showdown with both teams expecting a down-the-wire-finish.

Goltens, touted as the team to beat at the start of the tournament proved their worth.

This marks the first championship series between the teams this season. After their first encounter to arch rival Mas Paints in the semis which they lost, Goltens Dubai had to survive two deciding games against Crystal Optics and Marble Renewal, while the Mas Paints stunned their rivals with their six straight great games in the semis to clinch the first finals seat.

Goltens's player-coach Jun Lim & Mas Paint's mentor Aries Fererras both believe this series offers a lot of motivation for both teams. For one, the league's top contenders for this year's Most Valuable Player (MVP) trophy - belongs to the two contending teams.
