Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates is a social climber
Society Golf Day proves to be a big hit, with course in excellent condition
I played in the recent Society Golf Day on Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
I am not a member of a golf club, but I am a member of the Emirates Golf Federation. I only play occasionally, hence I am one of the golfing nomads in this country.
The event at Jumeirah Golf Estates was a big hit and it was a smashing day. Not only was it a lot of fun, it was a great platform to get to meet some industry leaders.
Out in the field, the Earth Course was in good shape considering we are into the baking months out here in the UAE.
The tees and greens were in good condition — the fairways were hurting a bit — which is understandable given the heat and the fact the golf course, especially the rough and some of the approaches going through seasonal transition with new and old grasses.
That is a small qualm and it did nothing to dampen our day. Overall I had a great experience and I look forward to next year’s event.
