    Samar Storm surge
Posted about 1pm UAE time (5pm Philippine time): Waves kicked up by Kammuri in Potong, Northern Samar. The typhoon is expected to pack winds of up to 168km/h (105mph) as it hit land early on Tuesday, December 3. Besides heavy rains, the monster typhoon is set to kick up "storm surges" of up to 8.5 meters — potentially inundating vulnerable sea-side villages and towns in the archipelago.
