Sheikh Hamdan cancels Dubai government fees to 'reduce cost of living'

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Dubai Executive Council at a meeting of the Executive Council announced the abolition of some government fees on Wednesday, February 5, at a meeting of the Executive Council members.

The move announced by Sheikh Hamdan is keeping in line with reducing the cost of living, facilitating the practice of business and supporting investors.

In a series of tweets by Sheikh Hamdan on the decision, the Crown Prince said: “The government has a duty to propel Dubai among the most developed, advanced and happiest cities in the world. It is a government obligation to serve the people and create an environment for all to prosper, while establishing happiness as a pillar of our society.”

Sheikh Hamdan also said in his tweet, the government has approved a medical education and research strategy, proposing programs for governance and integration between colleges and health facilities, as well as enhancing the quality of specialised programs for resident doctors and medical research.
