SAUDI ARABIA: The mountain peaks of Tabuk in northwestern Saudi Arabia experienced a rare snowfall this winter, blanketing its mountain peaks and drawing many residents outdoors to celebrate the unusual event.

The National Centre of Meteorology forecasted potential thunderstorms with heavy rains, gusty winds, and hail across regions including Tabuk, Medina, and parts of Mecca.

The meteorological report emphasised a significant decrease in temperatures across the majority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
