Sunny side up

Clown around with a fried egg and veggies that even the fussiest of eaters has to be charmed by. You can experiment with the hair; chopped carrots, plus some diced cucumber and red pepper in there too maybe?

It's up to you; as ever, the devil is in the detail, and the cucumber-skin eyebrows, peppercorn eyes and ketchup-grin can be tweaked to your liking.

3-2-1 - LIFT OFF! If, like us, you have toddlers who don't like cheese all that much, this fun spaceship disguise is sure to get them onside and upping their calcium quotient willingly.

It takes minimal skill, while the added red-pepper and carrot stars also encourage a healthy relationship with vegetables.

How to do it:

Tools: Cookie cutter - Get as many shapes as you can and you're guranteed to find a use for all of them eventually. Paring knife and scissors - A paring knife with a plain-edge blade is ideal for peeling and other small or intricate work, while scissors will ensure you get exactly the shape you want.
