Dubai: Looking for a skating ground where your child can practice skateboarding? Dubai has some free areas where children and adults can sharpen their skateboarding skills.
1. Bay Avenue Skate Park
Pick up your skateboard and head to this small skate park tucked away in heart of Business Bay. Despite its small size it features obstacles for skaters of all levels including ledges and slopes. Overlooking the Burj Khalifa, the Bay Avenue Skate Park is located on Al Amal Street in Business Bay. The park also has a jogging track.
The park is open throughout the day and can be accessed for free.
2. Damac Hills Skate Park
Located inside the Damac Hills gated community, this park is a hidden gem. The park is spacious and sprawls across 2000 square meters. It features many obstacles and has a garden where parents can relax while children try skateboarding. There is free parking available outside the skate park.

3. The Block
The Block is a recreational space that has a skate park for beginners and professional skaters, as well as basketball and volleyball courts. Located in Dubai Design District it offers a chance to see some art galleries too.
The Block is part of the D3 waterfront in Dubai Design District and is open 7am to 11pm daily. It can be accessed for free.
4. Al Mamzar Beach Skate Park
Right at the border of Dubai with Sharjah you will find the Al Mamzar Beach Skate Park featuring a concrete surface and obstacles such as half pipe and a stair set. The skate park is located at 130 Al Khaleej Road in Al Mamzar, where you can also enjoy a beach picnic after the skating session.
Other than skateboarding, you can also try rollerblades, scooters and bicycle motocross here. The park is open 24x7 and can be accessed for free.
5. Town Square Skate Park
This is among the biggest skate parks in Dubai. With thrilling obstacles such as ramps, quarter pipes, a bowl, rails and ledges, the park is great to enjoy in the daytime as well as at night, as it is well lit according to users.
The park is located on Al Qudra Street in Town Square, Dubai. It is free to access and is open from 11am to 9pm.
6. Dubai Silicon Oasis Skate Park
Sprawling over 5,000 square feet, this is one of the biggest skating parks in Dubai. Located in the Villa Park within the Dubai Silicon Oasis community, it is known for its design and obstacles for skateboarders to take on. The park features ramps, a flat rail, stairs, ledges, a quarter pipe, a London gap, a manual pad, handrails, a concrete park and more.
It is free to enter and is open from 8am to 11pm daily.
