Crafty Planting

You will need:

  • A plastic bottle
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Glue
  • Soil and seeds
  • A spoon
  • What to do:

  • Cut the bottle in half to make a cup shape.
  • Let your little one unleash his imagination and decorate his own plant pot.
  • Use the spoon to put soil in the bottle and poke the seeds in.
  • Water the seeds every other day.
  • This activity develops motor and sensory skills while promoting understanding of recycling, growing plants and sustainability.

    Crafty Sensory Bottle

    You will need:

  • A plastic bottle
  • Water
  • Beads
  • Glitter
  • Mini pom-poms
  • Goggly eyes
  • A spoon
  • A funnel
  • What to do:

  • Help your child use the spoon and the funnel to put beads, pom poms and goggly eyes into the bottle.
  • Using the same funnel, put some glitter in and then fill with water.
  • Seal and shake.
  • This activity develops motor and sensory skills using different shapes, textures and colours.
