Dip your feet into ‘Surreal’, a water fountain that dances with water and fire to music. The 153 waves of water that rush down the curved feature are inspired by a 4,000-year-old golden ring – the very same one that inspired the logo of the world fair. If this doesn’t whet your appetite for a visit, consider this – in the evening, the waterfall defies gravity and travels backwards. Now, if this isn’t a great Instagram shot, what is?

Remember when talking to robots seemed like a distant dream? Well, it’s just no longer true. At the Expo, you can chat with the bots, ask them to guide you to your destination or just laugh as they entertain you. Conveniently short – your little one can engage with these machinations at pretty much eye level.

When you head to the Germany Pavilion, be prepared – your kid may not want to leave. There are interactive edutaining sessions, virtual reality opportunities and more. One of the things that they’ll not only enjoy but also you’ll want to frame is the look of glee when they get onto the swing (at the last step of the visitor journey).

The Sports Hub is a cool spot for the young-ins – each day there are professional coaching classes to help them up their game be it basketball, football or cricket. To book a slot for your child, go to www.expo2020sportshub.com. Remember to charge your phone though – you’ll be taking plenty of pictures of them on the pitch and you don’t want to run out of battery when you do.

At the Austria Pavilion, your child can use Wunderkind blocks to build a robot that they can control using an app. While the box isn’t available to buy at the pavilion, they do tell you where you can get your very own.
