All around us, whether it be through video games, movies, news reports or the internet, we are surrounded by images of violence.
Whether it is real images from places of conflict, violence manufactured in the minds of game creators, or combat conjured up by the directors of Hollywood, there is no respite from this agenda of gore.
Sadly, this violence is now exhibiting itself in the deeds and actions of today's youth.
Horrific incidents are being reported as our youth seem immune to reality, resorting to bloody violence to settle scores. This deterioration in our moral values cannot be allowed to continue. It must not be allowed to exist, and it needs to be stamped out lest it fester.
Parents need to take strong action. Schools and educators must not tolerate it for one second. And police need to act to ensure perpetrators are brought to justice.
We all must fight youth violence.
