Dubai

I was involved in the Sharing Fridges initiative last year but was unable to host a fridge this year. So I approached our principal Brendon Fulton with the idea of a school fridge. He agreed. I was lucky to get a fridge donated by Betterlife. It was communicated to parents and staff and we are very pleased to have so much support. Next week, children in each year group have been invited to bring in (at least) one item each for the fridge. They will be able to place these items in the fridge with their class teachers themselves, and thus feel involved and understand the whole process. The location is a busy one, and the fridge is being filled and emptied many times throughout the day. It is a lovely way to get the school community together - parents, students, staff - including the wonderful security team who are minding the fridge 24 hours a day. It feels so rewarding being part of such a wonderful initiative.
