Dubai: Filipino singer Morissette Amon is headed to Dubai in August for a concert at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Morissette, dubbed "Asia's Phoenix" and the Mariah Carey of Asia for her vocal pitch, is expected to belt out songs from her albums including Akin Ka Na Lang and Ikaw Ay Ako.
She reached the limelight as a runner-up on TV5's Star Factor when she was 14, but rose to fame by competing in the popular The Voice of the Philippines in 2013.
Morissette has also been a regular guest on popular roving Philippine radio station, Wish 107.5. Her live performance of Akin Ka Na Lang in February has gotten 28 million views so far.
