The Dubai Fitness Challenge is back and it’s bigger than ever. Started in 2017 as a citywide initiative by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government, the event has gone from strength to strength over the years. The 2021 edition promises to be even more exciting and here’s why…

Find your 30: Is an initiative that challenges everyone to find just 30 minutes across 30 days in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. No matter where you are, or what you do, there is plenty of inspiration to be found here. From nutrition, fitness to workouts and even mental well being, there is something for everyone.

Dubai Run: The iconic event is making a return for 2021 on November 26. Participants will run along Sheikh Zayed Road – sans traffic, naturally – and take in the sights of the glorious city we call home. The event has a 5 km and a 10 km route making it accessible for participants of all ages and fitness levels.

DP World Fitness Village Kite Beach: This one is for the family that needs their fitness fix, as well as lovers of sun, surf and sand. It includes 30 days of free fitness and health activities from 2pm to 11pm on weekdays and from 7am to 11pm each weekend. For the 2021 edition, visitors have a choice of 15 dedicated sports and fitness zones, as well as range of classes including yoga, cycling and water sports. Open from October 29 for 30 days.

Spartan Challenge: This one is for the hardcore fitness enthusiasts. On November 20 participants will take on a classic trail in this running event. While there are no obstacles and several distances to suit varied entrants, what remains unchanged is that every race takes place on a stunning trail, where participants get to enjoy the UAE’s stunning natural beauty.

While there is plenty more to explore at Dubai Fitness Challenge, we reckon these are the unmissable events.
