The 15th edition of the Sharjah Biennial will run until June but with just over one more week left in Ramadan before April 21, you’ve got ample time yet to still discover the range of evening programmes available to the public for free, including all the museums which will remain open throughout the Eid Al Fitr holiday from 20 to 24 April.

The first event coming up is Ramadan Nights at the Sharjah Biennial 15 which are workshops for children and families that go on until 23:30 on Saturday, April 15, at the Collections Building on Arts Square in Sharjah. Story-telling, digital media, abstract painting and portrait work are all on the menu, with everything you need to participate provided on the night by Sharjah Art Foundation, however advance registration is necessary so be sure to visit the sharjahart.org website.

If you can’t make it this Saturday, there’s another workshop on April 29 but this time with a morning schedule of activities running until noon at the Sharjah Maritime Museum.

The Biennial is taking place across the Emirate of Sharjah with participating venues exhibiting until 10 o’clock at night throughout Ramadan as well as late-night timings through April 24 during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. The 30th anniversary edition of Sharjah Biennial runs until June 11 but the upcoming holiday makes for an ideal occasion to enjoy this cultural experience.
