Held at the Palais de Tokyo, day three of the Paris Fashion Week 2022 featured brands and labels such as Courreges, Meryll Roge, The Row, Didu, Rochas, Situationist, Dries Van Noten, Cecilie Bahnsen, Patou, Acne Studios, Veronique Leroy and Balmain. Surprisingly, the day also saw some poignant moments, when Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing referenced the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict talking about the “anxiety-inducing headlines of the past week.”

Rousteing’s line featured a flurry of colours, as well as plenty of use of gold adornments to complement lighter shades such as creams and pastels. Juxtaposed with the hard metal was delicate lace, which was further complemented by neoprene. The collection included in excess of 70 looks.

Rochas’s Charles de Vilmorin presented a collecting that was gothic, yet flowing. The look was highlighted by the strong eye make-up worn by the models, along with other adornments to complete the striking look. The line featured long, sheer skirts, contrasted by tailored suits in dark, brooding colours.

Belgian Dries Van Noten, meanwhile, presented a show that embraced a more vibrant look. The collection was varied and featured everything from coats in neutral colours to clothing in animal prints. The silhouette was a mix between figure hugging and loosely draped.

The line-up for day four of Paris Fashion Week includes: Coperni, Anne Isabella, Gauchere, Paul Smith, Chloe, Minuit, Uma Wang, Ludovic De Saint Sernin, Lecavalier, Rick Owens, Heliot Emil and Isabel Marant.
