Question: I have been working for a bank for 13 months and have taken a staff loan from that organisation. I am on a Dubai visa for unlimited contract. If the bank terminates my contract, am I liable to repay the loan amount? Can they put a ban on me? In that case, what can be the solution? Will I be able to apply for other jobs?
Answer: We would like to tell the questioner that the bank in which he or she is working may use all legal, criminal and civil procedures to obtain its right. Therefore, if the bank follows these methods, the questioner will be prevented from leaving the country or may even be imprisoned until the debt is repaid. But I advise the questioner to solve the matter with the bank and to ask the bank to transfer his sponsorship to any other company, as well as provide guarantees for the repayment of the debt in the future.
